Racing stables, buried villages, town hall above a pub and excellent food

Our visit this month was to a racing Stables and stud in Dunraven Stud Llanmihangel Farm. We were treated to a tour and look at the stallions. The staff were very informative and lots of questions were asked it is a very busy stables. Thank you to Mr & Mrs Brace and their staff.

It was great to see some new faces and we hope you will join us for the future we have a great programme of events to come.

After the visit we went for some local pub food at the Prince of Wales and this turned out to be a great bonus to the evening we all enjoyed a good quality supper and then a tour of the old Town Hall above the pub this dated back to the 15th century and more information can be found here:

Gareth Maund the proprietor was a mine of information and we heard stories of shipwrecks, ghosts, town hall procedure and he unlocked the Kenfig Safe which houses the Mace of the City. We will be visiting again for our annual Christmas dinner. The Town Hall was brought here as the main town of Kenfig was buried by the sea and sand in the 14th century.

Here are some photos and can you see the face on the wall? Everybody will be pleased to know I can See it now!!
